Course Selection

Course Selection and Add Periods occur during various periods of time throughout the year. These dates can be found in Section III of the Undergraduate Calendar, Schedule of Dates.

Course Selection occurs within certain time frames and/or "windows". This means not all students pick their classes at the same time. Add Periods are open to all students at the same time.

You can find out when your Course Selection window is by clicking "Course Selection Windows" on WebAdvisor. Timing is determined by the last two digits of your University of Guelph ID number. Your class level is determined by the number of credits you have completed or are completing. A semester level will increase by one every 2.50 credits.

While waiting for your Course Selection window to open, plan ahead by logging onto WebAdvisor and searching for classes to find available time slots and course offerings to help determine a potential class schedule. These timeslots may change depending on when your selection window opens. Make sure that you refer to your Undergraduate Academic Calendar when building your schedule to ensure that you are meeting the requirements of the BBRM degree. You should also refer to your Academic Evaluation for a more detailed guideline on completing your degree requirements. Follow the Academic Calendar that is declared on your Academic Evaluation unless otherwise discussed with your Program Counsellor.

For course prerequisite and course code changes, compare the current Academic Calendar with your Academic Calendar. The current calendar can be found on WebAdvisor under "Quick Links". Archived calendars can be found by clicking "Academic Calendars" under "Quick Links" and then choosing "Undergraduate". This will bring a list of current and archived calendar years.
