Animal & Poultry Science
Graduate programs in Animal and Poultry Science focus on animals of significance in food production, with four main areas of research:
- Animal breeding and genetics (quantitative or molecular)
- Animal nutrition (monogastric or ruminant)
- Animal physiology (Environmental, reproductive or behavioral)
- Growth and metabolism (meat science)
The MSc program involves advanced courses and the completion of a research project. It is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you'll need to assume a leadership role within the animal industry or prepare for doctoral studies.
The PhD program is research-oriented and provides instruction and experiences that will develop your ability to independently formulate hypotheses and design and execute experiments or conduct observational studies to reach definitive conclusions.
