New Alumni Advancement Manager Named for OAC
December 21, 2009
Jason Moreton, Executive Director, Alumni Advancement & the Annual Fund, and OAC Dean Rob Gordon are pleased to announce that Morag Stewart has been appointed to the position of Alumni Advancement Manager, OAC. Morag has extensive event, volunteer management, and fund-raising experience. She has worked as a development professional for the Canadian Hearing Society, the CNIB, and The Credit Valley Hospital Foundation. Morag is currently the Manager of Development for Easter Seals Ontario. She has taken on large friend- and fund-raising projects and worked with a team to successfully complete a $50 million capital campaign, focusing on gifts of $1 million or more.
In her current position, Morag also manages a board of directors, comprised of senior level volunteers to assist with events, major gifts strategies and fund-raising calls. In her spare time, Morag volunteers for the Sunshine Dreams for Kids, the Canadian Hearing Society, Safe School Network, and the United Way, York Region. Morag is also a very proud mother of two!
Please join us in welcoming Morag to our team. She begins with us on January 25, 2010.
We would also like to extend a very special thank you to Kate Cooper for all of her great work driving OAC alumni advancement activities forward whilst balancing a myriad of priorities. Kate has done an exceptional job, and though she will be missed, the University is fortunate to have her working in the College of Social and Applied Human Sciences, as well as the College of Arts. Thanks for all your great work Kate and best of luck with your new portfolio!
