GCUOF Thanksgiving Campus Market - Thursday, Oct. 6
Frost has held off in southern Ontario, and that's good news for the On-Campus Farmers’ Market. The market, hosted by the Guelph Centre for Urban Organic Farming (GCUOF), will be held today at Branion Plaza near the Cannon in the heart of the U of G from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
In time for Thanksgiving, the market features certified organic produce grown by U of G students at the GCUOF, and offers peppers, heirloom tomatoes, carrots, garlic, raspberries, fingerling and blue potatoes and watermelons, along with fresh herbs and bouquets of flowers. Frost notwithstanding, the markets will run every Thursday afternoon as long as the harvest continues.
