OAC Volunteer Recognition Awards, 2008

Join us in celebrating the tremendous contributions of volunteers across Ontario’s agri-food sector. OAC invites your nominations for the 2008 Volunteer Recognition Awards.
This recognition program was established in 1997 to honour those who have contributed their time, effort and expertise for the betterment of Ontario’s agri-food, rural and environmental sectors. All individuals employed outside of government or the University of Guelph are eligible.
- Outstanding Service Award
Celebrates the dedication, vision and outstanding contributions of volunteers who have provided outstanding service to research, teaching or service programs for the benefit of the rural community. This award is presented annually to a volunteer(s) who has made considerable, long-term contributions to the industry and/or community. Previous recipients, or those employed by government or the University of Guelph are not eligible.
- Volunteer Recognition Award (Agrifood/Rural/Environment)
Recognizes the dedication and hard work of volunteers whose contributions enhance their communities. These awards are presented to individuals who have made significant contributions for the benefit of the agriculture and food sectors, the environment and/or the rural community. Previous recipients, or those employed by government or the University of Guelph are not eligible.
- OAC Cooperator-Partner Award
Recognizes the contributions of volunteers over the past year to OAC’s teaching, research and service programs. Faculty, staff and students are invited to submit nominations: individuals may receive this award more than once.
Nomination deadline: March 1, 2008
Recipients will be selected based on the impact of their contributions. Awards will be presented at the OAC Recognition Banquet to be held April 23rd , 2008.
Sponsorship opportunities for the 2008 Awards Banquet are also available for individuals or groups. All contributions are most welcome, and will help ensure that we can continue to host this showcase event. Supporters at the $150 level or above will be recognized in communications related to the event and receive complimentary tickets. Charitable tax receipts will be issued for all donations.
