Volunteer Recognition Awards - Call for Nominations
January 18, 2007
Each year, OAC (the Ontario Agricultural College, University of Guelph) hosts a Recognition Banquet to honour outstanding volunteers who have contributed their time, effort and expertise for the benefit of Ontario’s agrifood, rural and environmental sectors.
Nominations for the 2007 awards are now open. Individuals (including government and university employees), companies and industry associations are invited to submit nominations on behalf of outstanding volunteers who have worked for the benefit of rural Ontario. Employees of University of Guelph, government or crown corporations are not eligible.
Nomination forms are available online through the OAC website, or can be obtained from the OAC Dean’s Office. Nominations will remain open until February 24th, 2007.
All nominations will be reviewed by a panel of judges: recipients of the awards will be announced at the Recognition Banquet to be held at Creelman Hall on the University of Guelph campus on April 25, 2007.
This event is sponsored by OAC, University of Guelph and industry partners. Sponsorship opportunities are still available.
