OAC’s Public Lecture Series continues with this year’s Jack and Gerry Vandergrift lecture. This month’s speaker is Ed Snodgrass, owner and president of Emory Knoll Farms Inc., Maryland, the only nursery in the U.S. dedicated solely to the propagation of plants for the green roof industry. Ed has co-authored Green Roof Plants: A Resource and Planting Guide and The Green Roof Manual: A Professional Guide to Design, Installation, and Maintenance.

About the Speaker:
Ed
Snodgrass is a fifth-generation farmer and nurseryman. His nursery has supplied plants for more than four hundred green roof projects in over twenty-five states, the District of Columbia, and Canada, as well as overseas. Ed is active in plant research and development, and works with educational institutions around the globe in support of green roof research projects. Emory Knoll nursery is managed to develop and provide green roof plant stocks in an ecologically responsible manner, and sustainable practices extend to the grounds and the business operations.
